Hi there! Today I’m sharing a card I made for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, Anything Goes. As usual, the DT projects are gorgeous (check them out here).
I made a clean and simple card for my submission using Altenew’s Bold Blossom stamp and die sets. I first watercoloured the blossom with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, by scribbling some N.024 Wine Red on the stamp and pulling the colour with a wet paint brush.
I then die cut my front card panel using the coordinating die to create a window, and stamped a sentiment I created using Avery Elle’s Simply Said: You stamp set.
This was a super simple card to put together and I love its simplicity.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi everyone! I’m here today with a card I am entering for two challenges: the new challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9, where they challenge us to use embossing in our creations, and the new challenge at CASology, with the cue card WISH.
I’m really excited to finally take part in both these challenges as I am a big fan of Concord and 9th products, and of clean and simple cards.
I started my card by stamping and gold embossing the outer two rings of the beautiful Many Mandala stamp set to be the focus of my card.
I then added a touch of watercolour with some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.
Finally, I gold embossed the first half of the sentiment inside the mandala and the other half on vellum, which I adhered to the card.
I adhered all of that to an A2 white card base and that’s it! I hope you like my card and I’ll be back soon for another challenge! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Hi there! First off, welcome to my new blog and thanks for stopping by! I have been dying to try my hand at the awesome card challenges out there, and figured a blog would make that much easier for me!
The first challenge I am participating in is the current CAS(E) This Sketch! challenge, #229, with the following sketch:
I love this sketch, I had so many ideas just looking at it! I went for a watercolour background using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours (which I’m sure you all know are fabulous). I picked No.61 and laid a few layers of colour, nothing special and it was really quick.
After the background dried, I cut it into rectangles and stuck them to my card base using double sided tape. Since I wanted to keep the colour scheme clean and simple, I chose a whale from the Whale Hello set from Avery Elle to add a little focus to the card. I stamped it in Versafine Onix Black ink, then heat embossed it with WOW! Superfine Clear embossing powder.
I then coloured it using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens (No.35 Deep Blue) and added white dots on the whale’s underside using my uni-ball Signo white gel pen. After fussy cutting it, I stuck it to my panel with double sided tape, and stamped a sentiment from the same set to make a card for any occasion.
This card was such a breeze to make, it was a welcome change from my usual! I hope you liked it and I’ll be back tomorrow for another challenge.
